WRC 7, the official video game of the FIA World Rally Championship, has landed two major awards.
It was named 2017’s Best Off-Road Game and Best Surprise by Team VVV, A leading website for motor racing games and a major influencer in the gamer industry.
“WRC 7 is without question one of the most intense rally games ever made,” the judges said.
The double honour follows the accolade of Best Sports Game in last year’s Ping Awards.
The eSports WRC Championship, which is played on WRC 7, reached round six at the Tour de Corse recently and Hungarian gamer Subee203 maintained his record of scoring a podium on every road to lead the drivers’ standings.
The inaugural teams’ championship is headed by WRC EDrivers Club, represented by Subee203, Jon Armstrong and Greekman. They lead Virtualdrivers by TX3 by 21 points with ESports+Car third.
Round seven was scheduled for last weekend’s Rally Argentina.
