WOULD you like to be part of one of the few truly International motor sport events to be run in Australia in 2015? Would you enjoy being around world-class athletes and the fastest vehicles on dirt roads you may ever see?
If you answer Yes, we have the perfect opportunity for you – the FIA World Rally Championship is on the way to the Coffs Coast for the fourth year and the organisers need your help as a member of the Officials family to make the event happen.
The family has around 1400 members doing a wide variety of jobs over the week or so the rally is in town.
Don’t mind some dust, want to see the 75+ vehicles in action and happy to stand and chat with other interested people for the day? Spectator management may be for you.
Or perhaps helping out with the paperwork and management of the rural stages is more appealing.
Interested in helping with the management of the Service Park, or helping make sure that the right equipment is in the right place at the right time? Say hello to Event Operations.
There are always openings in the Administration or Results teams if you prefer a more “indoors” occupation – or you could help us with the management of the officials’ accreditation and scheduling.
There is no shortage of possible roles and most of jobs don’t require previous experience or training – just a willingness to spend a few days on the Coffs Coast combined with some common sense.
We can’t pay you, but will give you an official’s polo shirt, a cap or hat, discount vouchers from event sponsors, a pass for the officials after-party and entry in the draw to win great prizes such as a helicopter ride over the rally, a weekend at the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix or event merchandise.
Visit the event website rallyaustralia.com.au and follow the Officials link (top right-hand corner) to register as a volunteer official. Write to [email protected] if you would like more information.
