COFFS COAST (NSW) – VIP guests will sip wines with an appropriate extra zip to their taste at Kennards Hire Rally Australia next week.

Brand & Sons of Coonawarra, South Australia, will be Rally Australia’s official wine supplier, bringing back reminders that winemaker Sam Brand once was a successful driver in the FIA World Rally Championship event.
“Aside from wine, my family also has a long history in rallying, with my father and uncle competing in the 70s and 80s, while I competed in various forms for about 10 years, including Rally Australia in 2001 and 2005,” Sam Brand said.
“In 2005 we won the ARC (Australian Rally Championship) round and finished Top Privateer for the event.
“We wanted to support Rally Australia and have our brand associated with this world-class event, but also to proudly represent Australia showcasing our wines to the world.”
Brand & Sons is the new identify for the Brand family wine enterprise, which has a long and esteemed history in Australian agriculture and is regarded as one of the pioneers of the Australian wine industry.
Rally guests in the corporate hospitality areas will enjoy wines from Brand & Sons’ St Amand range, showcasing some award-winning labels from the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills regions.
They also will taste some of the “Jim Brand – Limited Releases”, made as a tribute to Sam Brand’s late father Jim, who was passionate about both winemaking and rallying.
Kennards Hire Rally Australia will host the final and deciding round of the WRC on the NSW Coffs Coast on 15-18 November. Tickets are on sale at www.rallyaustralia.com.au.
Rally Australia is supported by the NSW Government via its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.
