IF you ever wanted to be part of a major international sporting event, your chance has come – and you can win some great prizes by getting involved!
Coates Hire Rally Australia still has some vacancies for officials to help run the event. No experience is necessary – training will be given ‘on the job’.
“We’re looking for people to work in rally headquarters and in pre-event administration, as well as operations crew and courtesy car drivers,” Event Manager David Catchpole says.
“We also need people out on the rally stages, as spectator marshalls or for stage security. If you’re up for a few days of action, enjoying the camaraderie of being part of an important team and welcoming our international guests to the Coffs Coast, this is a fantastic event to be part of.”
All volunteers will be given exclusive officials’ clothing and a gift bag when they sign on in Coffs Harbour and are entered into a draw for some amazing prizes as soon as they register.
“One of the prizes is a helicopter ride over one of the active stages so you get to see a rally car at speed from the air, while another great prize is an all-expenses trip for two to next year’s Australian Grand Prix,” Mr Catchpole says.
“We also have prizes of memorabilia signed by the WRC stars and all volunteers will have a ticket to get close to the action when they’re not working plus free entry for the celebrations at the Officials After Party and the Event After Party.”
If you want to be part of the team, OFFICIALS at the toil-right of this page and complete the registration form. If you want more information first, email your questions to [email protected]. The preferred age is 16 and over, but there may be some opportunities for younger participants. Please email and ask before registering.
