THE official Ford Fiestas in this year’s FIA World Rally Championship will compete with a new bright-blue livery unveiled today by M-Sport Ford at the Autosport International show in Birmingham.
The EcoBoost-powered Fiestas will be driven by Elfyn Evans and Teemu Suninen throughout the 14-round season, which ends at Kennards Hire Rally Australia on the NSW Coffs Coast on 14-17 November.
M-Sport was the first to show its 2019 car. Hyundai, Citroën and Toyota also will reveal theirs during the four-day Autosport show, which opened today. All teams, crews and principals will attend the official WRC season launch on Saturday and will line up for the opening round at Rallye Monte-Carlo on 24 January.
Without the Red Bull logos that accompanied Sébastien Ogier’s presence for the past two seasons, the new Fiesta livery promotes M-Sport’s business including its new Evaluation Centre, which is due to launch later this year. The outline of the state-of-the-art test track is incorporated in the design.
Alongside existing key partners Ford, Castrol and Michelin, the design also incorporates MS-RT branding, which promotes the Cumbrian team’s bespoke range of road vehicles.
