Ceremonial Start and Rally Show

WHERE: Jetty Foreshore – Coffs Harbour Jetty

WHEN: Thursday 2pm

ACCESS: Impaired mobility friendly 

3,2,1,go!  See the world’s best rally cars and crews start Kennards Hire Rally Australia and get the chance to get up close to the rally stars. The WRC crews will be joined by teams from the Australian Rally Championship and there will be a chance to get autographs at the traditional driver signing with giveaways and much more. As the final round in the thrilling World Rally Championship, teams will tackle some of the best rally roads in the world at breathtaking speed over the next 4 days. When you are ready, make your way over to the Destination NSW Super Special Stage which is along the foreshores from 3:30 pm to see the stars and cars in action on our updated Destination NSW Super Special Stage. Entry is for ticket holders only.

Pedders Rally Central

WHEN: From 7:30am

ACCESS: Impaired mobility friendly 

Pedders Rally Central is the equivalent of racing’s pits is a must-see attraction. Pedders Rally Central is packed with action throughout the rally.  The World Rally Cars arrive for their midday service one at a time at short intervals and they are allowed 30 minutes before they must leave for the afternoon’s stages.  Major team’s setup impressive service bays to repair and replenish cars and drivers during periodic returns from the competition special stages. A service break is virtually a race in its own right – you will see the brilliant WRC mechanics change a clutch, gearbox or entire suspension in mere minutes to keep their crews in the rally. The leading WRC teams bring hundreds of tonnes of parts and equipment to rebuild their team cars from the ground up, especially if they have visited the scenery! The drivers and navigators often make themselves available to meet the fans right next to their cars. Each day there is a WRC “Meet the crews” time so keep an eye out for a WRC or ARC star!

Taste The World International Food Festival

WHERE: Pedders Service Park – C.ex Coffs Harbour International stadium, adjacent to the concert stage

WHEN: Thursday 11am to 6pm

ACCESS: Impaired mobility friendly  

Held in conjunction with Kennards hire Rally Australia, Coffs Harbours’ largest International food festival will ignite your taste buds with vendors selling various street food from around the world. There will be South American grilled and fried chicken, wood fired pizza, homemade pasta and gnocchi dishes, Mexican and gourmet hot dogs along with seafood, South Indian curries and pocket curries, catering for both meat lovers and vegetarians. For the sweet tooth we have Churros and homemade gourmet cakes and slices, cannoli and tiramisu.

Australia’s only rally museum will have its mobile display van featuring memorabilia from the 1979 Repco Road Australia Reliability Trial in celebration of its 40th anniversary.

In conjunction, we will have the original Factory Ford Cortina entry of Colin Bond, Bob Riley and John Dawson-Damer, Car # 4 in original livery.Rallying has a rich history in Australia and as the WRC teams make history on some of the best rally roads in Australia, the Rally Museum has some great memorabilia on display. Come and say hello and talk over old memories.

WHEN: Open 24 hours.

2 rare WRC replica cars will be on display at the Opal Cove resort on the northside of Coffs Harbour at Rally Headquarters. These are very rare and never seen at Kennards Hire Rally Australia before.

The  replica Celica GT 4 ST 165 in the original livery as it won the 1989 Rally Australia in the hands of Juha Kankkunen and the replica Celica GT Four ST 185 in the original livery and with full accessories as it won the 1994 Safari Rally, and affectionately known as the “Flying Sausage”.
