NOT for nothing is Neste Oil Rally Finland known as the fastest round of the FIA World Rally Championship. Hyundai’s Hayden Paddon has the instruction “flat” written in his pace notes a remarkable 1090 times for the four-day event.
For co-driver John Kennard, Finland is like a home away from home. Not only is it the biggest export market for his winery business in New Zealand, it’s also where he spends his time between the European WRC events with his Finnish partner Satu.
The Kiwi pair will contest Coates Hire Rally Australia alongside Aussie Chris Atkinson and his co-drive Stephane Prevot of Belgium.
