(Event release, 19/12/2012) THE Snake Racing Coffs Coast Rally staged in October will feature in a two-hour season review of the 2012 Bosch Australian Rally Championship to be broadcast on Channel Ten this weekend.
Offering local fans a chance to re-live the action or catch up on some they missed, the program will air on Saturday 22 December at 12 noon, with repeats on OneHD on Sunday and the following week (check TV guide for local times).
The Coffs Coast Rally will return in September 2013 as a partner event to the Rally Australia FIA World Rally Championship round.
Network Ten’s 2012 review will include all the highlights from a massive season of Australian rally competition that introduced a huge change in the sport, with both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive being allocated championship status.
Included in the program are highlights from the ECB SUV Rally Challenge, rallyschool.com.au Australian Junior Rally Challenge and the Australian Side x Side Rally Challenge.
In the most extensive coverage ever seen of Australian rallying, the program follows the action as it alternates been east and west across five States for six rounds of competition culminating in the final in Victoria.
In 2012 more than two million Australians will have watched the Bosch ARC on the Ten and OneHD networks, with the series generating more than 40 hours of national television coverage – a media equivalency value exceeding $12 million.
Next year’s East Coast Bullbars ARC is scheduled to receive a record 48 hours’ total coverage on Ten and OneHD.
