THE Pedders Suspension Coffs Coast 400 Prologue has been run and won today by the Snap SMU Racing team of Matt Hanson and Leigh Wells
The #3 Jimco Pro Buggy set a blistering pace at this morning’s 10km Prologue Track.
In slippery conditions after morning rain, the Buggys, Trophy Trucks and 4WDs took to the bush to set the starting order for this afternoon’s Section 1, which comprises three laps of a 50km course.
Section 1 starts at 1pm at 1119 Bucca Road, Nana Glen. Section two will run on Sunday.
On Thursday, leading competitors took to the streets of Coffs Harbour to greet offroad and rally fans alike at the Official Rally Australia launch. This was followed by demonstration runs at the Hyundai Super Special Stage on Friday in front of some of the best rally drivers in the world.
The Pro Buggies, Trophy Trucks and 4WDs were scheduled to contest a full Championship race program in the Lower Bucca State Forest, 30km north from the centre of town, starting with Prologue and Section 1 on Saturday, Section 2 on Sunday, with a total of 400km of competition run across the two days.
All Rally Australia ticket holders are entitled to free entry to the Coffs Coast 400.
